Imrana Maqsood presents 'Uljhay Suljhay Anwer'

Imrana Maqsood, wife of renowned journalist/celebrity Anwer Maqsood presented her new book 'Uljhay Suljhay Anwer' during the reported week at the weekly meeting of Karachi Readers Club.

Anwer Maqsood was also expected to attend this session but he couldn't due to his preoccupied scheduled or maybe he did not want to attend as a number two in this august gathering while his sister, family and friends were attending the session in a large number. The hall was jampacked during the presentation.

According to Imrana, she wrote this book on autobiography of Anwer. She elaborated Anwer Maqsood in brief that Anwer at home is 'Suljhay and Uljhay' with rulers of the countries. She read various parts of the book before the prestigious gathering.

The Book contains 320 pages of good offset paper plus 24 pages of art paper covering beautiful pictures of the family and Anwer of different eras. She completes her book in 144 pages after that she includes different pieces of writing of Anwer Maqsood. Book is interesting and is written in a simple but in interesting diction, but in my opinion this book not covers autobiography of Anwer completely but reflects his domestic life and his struggles, successes after married life with his strong family background and cooperation and love from his sisters.

Zubaida Tariq in the flap of book appreciated Imrana Maqsood for writing this book and said that Anwer has enlightened the name of our country in the world and he was never afraid of any one or any ruler in his life.

Khursheed Haider a renowned lady journalists in the back page flap said that Anwer Maqsood is popular throughout the world due to his different writing styles and huge contribution in fiction writing and interesting words. She lauded the efforts of Imrana for completing the book on Anwer Maqsood life.

Mian Zahid Hussain grieved

Mian Mohammad Ayub, father of Mian Zahid Hussain, Mian Ziaul Hassan has passed away during the reported week. Nimaz-i-Janaza was attended by elite of the city and media personalities while during the Nimaz-e-Janaza, Mian Zahid Hussain was travelling back from USA after this sad news where he was on a business tour. 

Mian Zahid attended the mourning friends of him at the Soyem of Mian Ayub held at Masjid-e-Bilal, DHA Karachi. Governor Sindh Muhammad Zubair, bsiness community of Karachi have condoled the death of Mian Ayub with Zahid Hussain and still his friends and elites of city continuously visiting home of Mian Zahid for the condolence. 

Tahir Hasan Khan grieved

Fahim Hasan Khan, younger brother of Tahir Hasan Khan (a senior journalist and ex-President Karachi Press Club) lost his live during the treatment in SIUT during the week. Nimaz-e-Janaza and Soyem of Fahim was held at Madina Masjid F.B Area Karachi. A large number from the journalist community, relatives and friends attended the funeral rites and Soyem and prayed for the departed soul.

May God rest the departed soul in eternal peace and give courage to the bereaved families to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude. Aameen
