Photographic exhibition of ex-Turkish Diplomat Erkut Onart

Erkut Onart ex-Turkish diplomat and father of long-serving Consul General of Turkey at Karachi, Mustafa M. Onart who will be completing his 6 years of service this September against a normal posting period of 4 years. Erkut is the best photographer, he often visits Pakistan and his various photographic exhibitions were held at Karachi previously.
Now once again Erkut Onart is on Pakistan visit, and the Turkish Consul General M. M Onart once again organized his photographic exhibition at Alliance France during the reported week. The exhibition was largely attended by media persons, diplomats and elite of the city and appreciated the beautiful work of Erkut Onart.
Erkut Onart graduated from Galatasaray High School in 1958 and graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences in 1962. He served as the Consul General of Tabriz between 1979 and 1980, the Ambassador of Luxembourg between 1982 and 1987, the Ambassador of Bahrain between 1988 and 1990, the Consul General of Geneva between 1990 and 1992, the Minister of Foreign Affairs between 1992 and 1994. He served as the Consul General of Rotterdam between 1999-1999. He has opened photo exhibitions in various countries in the past.

Steve Crossman distributes 6th Energy Awards

Distribution of 6th Energy Awards was the mega event of the reported week. Jampacked 6th Energy Awards Distribution ceremony was organised by Mubasher Mir of Pak Energy Review at the Expo Center which was attended by elite of the city and was beautifully conducted by renowned journalist Akram Kamboh.
Steve Crossman, Deputy Head of Mission of British Deputy High Commission Karachi was the chief guest while Zahid Hussain ex-Ambassador and Chairman OGDCL, Syed Ibne Hassan of NBP, Naila Muneer MPA, Malik Khuda Baksh, Kokab Iqbal, Agha Masood, Muhammad Arif, Danish Alvi, Amir Khanzada, Ateeq Ur Rehman, Humaira Motala, Rehmat Memon and Z H Khurram were prominent in the guests and lauded continuous efforts of Mubasher Mir for the promotion of energy Sector.
Speakers of the event disclosed on this occasion that Mubasher Mir exploring talents whom are best performers, inventors or investors in the energy sector and encouraging and acknowledging them by presenting awards for the last 5 years.
Aqeel Karim Dhedhi of AKD Group also won the 6th Energy Award on the huge investments in the energy sector but due to his prior engagement he could not manage to attend the ceremony so his award was presented to him later at his office by the organisers.

Iqrar-ul-Hasan performed the duties of the MC. A melodious flute orchestra played the national anthem, which officially marked the beginning of the ceremony and was followed by a beautiful recitation of verses from holy Quran by renowned Qari Waheed Zafar Qasmi, and an eloquent hamd by Najam Shiraz.
The guests were then shown a profile of WB stores and Hemani Herbals through a visual experience. It was shared that these products would be exclusively available in the WB Stores that are opening their doors in the newly opened LuckyOne Mall, and Ocean Mall.
Next up was Shafaat Ali Khan who livened the evening with his hilarious standup comedy. Waseem Badami then took centre stage and delivered a powerful speech, which was followed by a moving tribute to Junaid Jamshed.
Expressing immense happiness on this occasion, Wasim Badmi stated, "It is because of the trust people have placed in me throughout my career that I have mustered the confidence to go into a completely new venture by collaborating with Hemani Herbals." He also stressed that it is now his time to pay back to the people for the trust they have placed in him, and his aim is to encourage everyone to follow a healthy and beautiful lifestyle by using the organic and natural products by Hemani.
The grand finale of the evening had been left to the renowned Anwar Maqsood, who regaled the audience with his performance.
