Senate passes resolution against 'blasphemous' content on social media

Resolution against ‘blasphemous’ content on social media has been approved in the Senate, reported Waqt News

In the resolution, a demand has been presented that the government and agencies to take action against such content immediately.

In the past few days IHC has issued a number of orders regarding blasphemous content on social media and last evening Interior Minister Ch Nisar said if the content can’t be removed then social media should be shut down.
